When darkness struggles to remain dark
And the sun struggles for a little more sleep but is awake
On hearing melody of sweet souls and dews wish to live daylong
Then born a day sublime and young
When a housewife with a broom sweeps her home
And kids dissent the early morn to their mom
And chanticleer at the sight of dawn flaps his wings and crows to embrace the day-king
Then born a day sublime and young
When a farmer hurries to his demesne before the day-king scampers in
To sip down dews in his paradise and in return bath him in sunshine of morn
And an old man on adjusting his specs ready to see the world ajar scanning
Through day's newspaper, then born a day sublime and young
When on seeing flowers on wings, the sun follows soft the daisies
And ends up finding everywhere of gold the meadows tinged with in rows
And a naughty bee leaves home a flower to sting
And being stung the flower now looks a happy being, then born a day sublime and young
When the journey of boys and girls begins to their holy shrine
Through voyage strayed and paused upon to at last reach for convergence
To read and learn to become our sun in a land of mist and fog
Then born a day sublime and young
When I see the sun smiling bright over my head
And the morn ripens to noon of a day being more than a quarter consumed
I surmise that the day is in a while closing
Closing and telling many a thing I know not of a day sublime and young
When brightness struggles to stay bright
And the sun struggles to tarry in the east
Then comes with moon and stars beside the graceful evening
Oh what grand events the day carries being sublime and young
And the evening brings night and night midnight
For how long the purple could keep the east from our sight
It is but for a while as the sun will come again to hug his lovely morning
And in consummating devoutely bear a day sublime and young
It is love and nothing but love that brings the universe to its knee
Sun, moon, day, night and all are dying to love and be loved solemnly
As the moon shows up daily to love her Endymion so the sun to his angelic morning
And out of such love divine born a day sublime and young and caring
What an artistic and scintillating landscape of the day- from dawn to next dawn with glimpses of noon, evening, night sprinkled in between. The personification is matchless. It's delightful. Thanks. When darkness struggles to remain dark And the sun struggles for a little more sleep.... When brightness struggles to stay bright And the sun struggles to tarry in the east
