Horizons Poem by Sarah Persson

Horizons

Rating: 5.0

The horizon emerges to meet my contentment,
It's always there, ever faithful and beautiful,
I find myself gazing and forgetting the world,
And making new promises to my ever wonderings.

I find a renewal of thoughts that went old,
Faded into backgrounds, caused by life's daily trials,
Reminding myself of possibilities to find,
If I wander with illumination and peace in my mind.

Shallowness played out by what's expected and caused,
Has no place in my life, it's just not my concern,
I seek the unknowing, letting wisdom transform me,
I've no intent to thrive in theatrical autonomy.

May my mind always wander to horizons unknown,
May my soul find its peace in the presence of hope,
May each journey I take help me grow and inspire,
And each day that I wake, be that all I require.
