Hoping Love Will Last Poem by Ray Hansell

Hoping Love Will Last

Come into my arms tonight
I promise everything will be alright
I'll love you the way I always wanted to
Since that first day when I saw you
We'll get lost in each other
Spending tonight under the covers
Why does it seem that loves heart beats
So much stronger when people first meet
"Cause the way I feel with you tonight
Tells me the world I'm in is alright
I know tomorrow when the sun comes up
We'll sit and drink from our coffee cup
Together, we'll welcome a brand new day
Listening to what each other's heart has to say
Later, when the day turns out it's light
We'll be together to share another night
Speaking words that flow from the heart
Love's always easy when two people first start
It's keeping it growing as the year's roll by
Hoping, love stays alive and the flame doesn't die
