Hoping For Your Return Poem by Ray Hansell

Hoping For Your Return

Rating: 5.0

I wonder where she's gone
She's been silent for too long
I really hope and pray
Nothing has gone wrong

It's like she's disappeared
Maybe she's gone underground
Maybe there's something else
That she has found

Or maybe there's no more time
Or maybe the writing juices ran dry
Or maybe she's reached the point
She no longer wants to try

But she should know she's missed
Every single day
I wish I would hear something
For I know she still has things to say

But if she's gone forever
Never to return
I need her to know
From her there was much I learned

Her writing were always fluid
They flowed like a river
I know she was not a taker
She for sure was a giver

So I say to you my friend
I hope you do return
Believe me when I tell you
I am filled with concern
