I don't know that I agree with your conclusions about the HMS Hood and the Bismarck and the world dropping the ball as Hitler rose to power, but your statement that Major Hasan is 'a study in contradictions' I find unwarranted. Please don't fall for the line that the major is a victim of any kind of prejudice that would excuse his malacious behavior, Already the politically correct news networks are building a case for his defense. Listen to them and read the papers, and tell me if there is any reference whatsoever to the major's links to Islam or the Islamic jihadists! Consider the reaction had the victims been another race and the major a staunch member of a right wing organization - what would the newscasters have been saying then?
