Honor Your Parents Poem by Long Tooth

Honor Your Parents

Rating: 5.0

Would you honor your parents? Don't follow them blindly!
Don't carry their faults to your grave!
Give carte blanche to religion, deep-grained racial bias,
If your kids are ones you would save?

See the evidence clearly; all men are born sinners,
Some truths we can never escape!
No man born has all answers, take look in a mirror
(With ‘God's acts' too turned by land's shape.)

You might trust their intention to make your life better
(But not if we sacrifice earth.)
It's a gift to pay forward, invest in our future,
With energy focused on birth!

Honoring parents is a great duty of children. Thank you dear long tooth for reminding this duty to others. A brilliant poem is well penned.10
