Hometown Blues Poem by Nika McGuin

Hometown Blues

Rating: 5.0

Someone said they knew my hometown today -
here, in this place where no one even knows my state.
I felt a strange mixture of recognition and homesickness.
In that moment, my hometown seemed so far away -
tucked in its own little corner of the world.
