Homesick, To A Heavenly Extent Poem by james watkin

Homesick, To A Heavenly Extent

Homesick to a heavenly extent.
For what familiar, far away
Excels warmest earthly attachments.
Exceeds brightest earthly day.

Lost, love-led on, and idealizing
clues me into what, of it
Is not put on! Purer lamenting
For what should be does permit.
