A lovely picture painted of home coming. Nothing can be sweeter to memory then being with your own at your childhood place. Great poem. Thank you for sharing and thank you so much for your comment and appreciation for my poem.

Loved it. You pretty much took me there.. Home Sweet Home indeed. Particularly loved the lines... //Here, i am a father and uncle To every child. It takes the whole village To raise a child.Right? I am a brother, a cousin and a son.// Nothing like this even remotely exists in cities... Keep writing...

I have never been to South Africa, but it is on my Bucket List to see it one day. I fell in love with it from two movies, Out Of Africa starring Meryl Streep and I Dreamed Of Africa starring Kim Bassinger, both based on true events. It is so beautiful and I envy you for being able to live there. Your poem is gorgeous and I could see her in my minds eye as I read it. She and your countrymen have been through so much and I feel from your words that no matter what, Africa is loved by her people. This is a wonderful poem. Thank you for writing it, and for sharing it. I wish you many blessings.
