Loved it. You pretty much took me there.. Home Sweet Home indeed. Particularly loved the lines... //Here, i am a father and uncle To every child. It takes the whole village To raise a child.Right? I am a brother, a cousin and a son.// Nothing like this even remotely exists in cities... Keep writing...

Truly sounding like a real African home, even without telling it one simply knows it. Great description and a good flow of simple sweet lines. Couldn't stop reading it once i started. Congratulations for making it on member poem of the day!
I have never been to South Africa, but it is on my Bucket List to see it one day. I fell in love with it from two movies, Out Of Africa starring Meryl Streep and I Dreamed Of Africa starring Kim Bassinger, both based on true events. It is so beautiful and I envy you for being able to live there. Your poem is gorgeous and I could see her in my minds eye as I read it. She and your countrymen have been through so much and I feel from your words that no matter what, Africa is loved by her people. This is a wonderful poem. Thank you for writing it, and for sharing it. I wish you many blessings.
Home Sweet Home! It's always a pleasure. Zoila T. Flores
Thanks Zoila.
