Home Stretch Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Home Stretch

Must we not pray
No more time to play
For we cannot afford any delay
The deceiver waits in the way
Your joy to spoil in the day

Stay and pray
The day to pay
For in Him our hope has a ray
Say what you believe; believe what you say
The day of reckoning to pay

So long the stretch of faith you stay
Narrow will always be the way
Love holds, I would say
Bright be the day
When He will summon all to his judgment without delay!
