Welcome home Edmund. I'm glad to see you back. Sister sunlight is shining and beaming down on you! :)
this poem speaks of deep beauty and stillness. I love the line brother pine you know my true name Reading this poem I feel the peace and quiet joy of home. Yes! !
Reading this again I wonder about further simplicity in writing. Strip away the thees and thous and speak straight English. Is the metaphor a crutch at times? A bit worn out from being leaned on to convey feelings/ I will experiment with this poem by re-writing it as simply home.....Greetings from Yankeeville
Curious to see your rewrite. Should have put capital H for home because it takes me to that place. I get the sense of the surroundings drawing me into that inner core where the deepest peace and joy are found. For me there is no separation between outer and inner they are one. The relative and absolute walk side by side. It's interesting upon reading this poem again I liked it even more. A wonderful metaphor to reflect upon. On favs.
