Oh so very true Linda Xmas precedes St Valentines with lots of sacharine be mines The hearts and flowers disappear and lo the easter bunny's here .a liitle rest before they say Thanksgiving day is on its way No holidays a holy day its just a way to make you pay For presents you feel you should give So that greedy merchants live unlike you in luxury I am quite sure that you'll agree . the world is too commercialised for holidays to still be prized. My minds made up I will refuse and put my cash to better use. Perhaps I'll book an ocean cruise it is my cash I get to choose

I love the relaxed tone of this fun poem about the 'silly' season - a nice balance between the ironic and the laid back. Fortunately, I am able to ban Christmas from my mind until after my children's dance performance which finishes on December 21. It's amazing what you can come up with in three days - and much less stress too. Great poem written with flair and a cheerful sort of cynicism. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxxxx

You certainly have it figured out Linda Xmas is merely an excsue to allow merchants to rip you off buying present out of a sense of duty. I gave up onit except for small children in the family who have yet to learn that it is all a scam

So sad and true, often wonder if I could just skip Christmas(Thanksgiving too) when everyone thinks about all the stuff to do and not the celebration its suppose to be about! It's a 10!

Well, now Midnight, this long awaited renaissance of yours is certainly sure to resplendenate all our aspirations of a stress-free holiday season. Please do tell me who you were pow-wowing with that motivated you to pen such an uplifting opus? Damn good verse though, is what saved you from Grinchville! But to tell and shed some light on this poem, Midnight.SO WAS IT: ...........................A fender-bender with Kringle & his sled...? ...........................Blinded by Rudolph and his nose of red...? ...........................Halloween got you, in Salems witchery...? ...........................So you're taking it out on Tom the Turkey?
