Hold Me Now Poem by Adam Smitherman

Hold Me Now

Rating: 5.0

I will never rest in piece.
Until this pain will finally cease.
This place is not home.
I feel so alone. (I feel so alone)

I've always lived in doubt.
I always tried to shut out.
You never got your chance to speak.
Because the words you spoke made me weak.
But now I'll never have the chance.
To give you you're last dance.
Because now you're gone.
And all I have is this last song.

I never thought.
That this love would be so cold.
But truth be told.
This world that I can't control.
Is getting harder to hold.
Your love made me weak.
I thought about you every week.
And being with you turned out to be a dream.
That will never be.
And there can never be a we.

Hold me now.
Help me out.
Get me through this ice cold world.
Give me a kiss.
A kiss I can't resist.
Put your arms around me.
I see the things I can see.
All the things around me.
All the things that we can be.
Hold me now.
