Hoe, Solemn Leant On Poem by james watkin

Hoe, Solemn Leant On

Hoe, solemn leant on;
Prostration's tall snare.
For an upturned stalk
Of cabbage lain there?

Of the edible
and the grower's role
Savouring what floats
In memory's bowl.
