Hitching A Ride Poem by Thomas Plotz

Hitching A Ride

I bet that tickled your fancy, and you didn't mind at all.

Did you say anything to them or them to you?

Did they just bounce across and off the other side?

Or stay for the rest of the ride?

Tho at the end, when the wood was clean did you shack them off too;

Then what did you do?

Are they alive today or slightly smash beneath your boot?

Never to, sing again…
