Hitch Hiking From Self Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Hitch Hiking From Self

I love the idea of thoughts
Not that I think a lot though; otherwise I would've been a philosopher
But just that thoughts seem to always find me, somehow

I don't seek for the truth, it's a fact
Rather, truth seem to always find me, nonetheless
For I've positioned myself by the roadside to Glory, that's why

Yes, I love the idea of thoughts
Not that I think a lot though; perhaps I do to a lesser degree
Rather, thoughts seem to find me attractive

I don't seek for the truth; doing so is futile
Rather, I have a high proclivity for the embodiment what is true
For I'm hitchhiking on the highway that leads to freedom from self n' peers
