History Repeating Poem by Randy McClave

Concentration camps never did exist
Screamed the German citizens as they pounded their fist,
Never in one has a Jew ever been tortured, or did die
Those are all but stories and rumors, nothing more than a lie.
In Germany we were treated as though we were the bottom feeder
But, then came along our glorious Führer, our leader,
Yes we believed everything that he did or would say
Yes his path was the truth, triumphant and righteous in every way.
Because of him they say you could hear innocent cries
Those aren't the truths, they are nothing more than vicious lies,
Even if you showed us pictures or videos as your proof
They all are just myths in the mind, and not ever the truth.
In church and in school we would always sing our leader a hymn
Our faith and our belief, was always for him,
Whatever he asked or commanded us, we always proudly did
His actions and/or decisions we would never doubt or forbid.
Then we saw the atrocities that was conceived and done
From our Führer's lying, racism, greed and bigotry under the sun,
Now Trumpists are placing their leaders picture on a Bible shelf
How sadly and terrifying I see, history is repeating itself.
