Whenever he was trying on a pair of new shoes
Or whenever he fail and got a bruise,
And when he was in the pool every time for a swim
His mother was always there watching him.
Whenever he went to the doctor or the physician
Before his school's admission,
Or whenever he went to the stylist to cut his hair
His mother was with him and always there.
Whenever he was at the park on his skates or skateboard
Or whenever he used a long stick as a sword,
Or whenever a ball he was either kicking or hitting
His mother was always there watching him while sitting.
Whenever he went to Sunday school
And whenever he was there acting like a total fool,
Forgetting where he was or what he is doing or saying
His mother was always there sitting and praying.
Whenever he got into trouble and everyone began to yell
Before telling his story or his long tale,
And if ever he was there just dodging or lying
His mother is over there already apologizing and crying.
Whenever him and bride got married
And over the threshold his new bride by him she will be carried,
Now another woman will be doing his watching and his keeping
While his mother is over there, sobbing and weeping.
