I stirred to this poem. I question the democratic nature of 'God' however. A dictator is anything but democratic. I see a dictator in 'God'. I doubt the necessity of an all perfect, knowing, seeing, omniscient nonentity creating humans to worship 'him'. That is as mentioned idolatry is it not? I think in my own small understanding of the 'nature' of existence that humans must have an answer for the prospect of infinity. They cannot imagine their ego not existing. God becomes the answer. Alan Watts once said that he didn't fear death because 'What did I fear before I came here? ' This is a provacative poem and a good one.
