Sonya, I fully agree with Frank James Ryan Jr., it is your master stroke. Black color and crow both stand for mystery and wisdom. You have deftly handled both with a metaphysical poetic touch. Although I have also written a poem on crow in a different vein, but yours is superb handling of the theme and art and craft of poetry. I loved it. Thanks a lot. CP

Crow is one of my favourite birds as well, and the way you express the character of this black beauty in your poem is outstanding and exquisite. I have noticed, you describe birds in your poems with a very special, unforgettable feeling. Thanks for sharing, Sonya, and best wishes. Yelena M.

A stunning tribute to the crow, one of my favorite birds as well. 'Through the glass window of distance' you catch an unforgettable glimpse of truth and beauty. Love, SandraX

Your work just keeps on getting better, Sonya. Mr Peat must be a fine mentor...but it is your unique eye that sees as no other. And it is your voice that paints the image in our minds. N

this is more than a poem about a crow and his crooked eyes...tells symbolically of the ways of silent meditating hypocrytic holy-men...good work Sonya...thanks...10

I love poems about crows very much (I can even stand Grackles, lol) . And I love, love, love the ending- how you know he can see you out of the corner of his eye. It's fantastic. You are one marvelous, shrewd writer.

Very well done, sonya, and it happens to be true that black has all the colors. I enjoyed it, dear!

Grand poem, reminds of a bird I once saw in Florida. You really did this bird justice. I like the poem a lot. a poet artist friend RH Peat
