Hindered Love Poem by Bryan Taplits

Hindered Love

I'm so glad that I eventually met you;
But I'm so sorry for my aged years-
and the tense,
Please, take care of yourself on your by-way
And in my dreams I shall meet you again.

The fragrance of Life's perfumed bouquet
Broke Nature‘s inimitable laws,
As I met you on that sweet Autumn Sunday
In that year of my preferred destined Fall.

Our lives intertwined for a few years
Cheerful times,
but that I now view with regret,
Since I never tried to net
and reel-in my dear lovely
The one that I try hard-
but can never forget.

Vaulted Heavens I never before
believed beckoning
And religions all left me in a huff,
But as I age I look forward to our vampings
once again-
From a Heaven that I once thought not enough.
