Him- World Wide West Poem by Wamii Flyer

Him- World Wide West

There exists a man
In search of someone

A sheriff tailing after his target
Only his bounty in mind

He goes from bar to bar
Asking anyone in sight

Circling between towns
On top of his vantablack horse

With each passing tumbleweed
He changed his disguise

Night and day
This silhouette travels

Creeping out of view
In the blink of an eye

Though there are way more treacherous lawbreakers
His fierce eyes only detect his victim

A predator chasing after his satisfaction
Diving between lives to get any hints

Arriving at his last destination
He slams the batwing doors wide open

Everyone's attention shifts
On his bandit-like appearance

Using a foolproof tone, he asks
''Anybody caught wind about Valkrie Hymns? ''

I raise my hand, holding a glass of whiskey
He finally got me

He maintains his thousand-yard stare
Motions as if he wants to take this outside

Questioning with such harshness
Chilling me to the bone

He looks down in distress
Then back up to observe my anxiety

With a slightly annoyed grin
''Guess it's a duel then, huh? ''

Knowing damn well I'm going to lose
I walk in front of the bank, where he pointed

Shit, my pistol is empty
I'm going to die at the hands of this maniac

His shadow grows tall each second
Almost reaching mine

Everything goes quiet
Everyones so still

He reaches for his hip
Drawing his gun in no time

Eye to eye with the trigger
Just shoot me already

Letting the spider inject its venom
Directly into my chest
I fall, connecting with his shadow

''Don't pick the body up, I'm not done yet.''
