Hill Of Nots Knots Knotts By Gio Masserati

'Notting Hill', a film classic is on my mind
I can watch this dvd shuffle repeat
romantic movies are heart's delight
a music soundtrack to my entire life
story line describes my lovelife strife

the ups and downs are heartsong cries
soon fluttering feels like butterflies
Julia Roberts (Ms. Anna Scott)
shares the quest of vulnerability
as she begs the question, why?
to Hugh Grant (William Thacker)
the unassuming 'object of her affection' guy

after round and round of relating flirts
time curtails opportunities missed spurts
after finally formed, a relationship develops
the fate between them all but fades before us

then, suddenly, in the last fifteen minutes
she faces him to lovingly reveal this...
'I'm also just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.'
.........................................time.......................................
Hugh retreats to no mans land
after much due contemplaton
desiring cherished life with heart of passion
weighing carefully of her love proclamation

then, suddenly, he has the answers
ceasing the opportunity to go get Julia
and to let her know he has 'reconsidered'
his brief unrequieted love for her

After they profess their love publicly
she announces a future with Hugh...Indefinitely

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poem based on the big screen movie, 'Notting Hill', Anna Scott is the world's most famous movie star. Her picture has been plastered on the cover of every magazine, and every time she makes a move, the entire world knows about it. William Thacker owns a travel bookstore. His business is stagnant, he has the roommate from hell, and since his divorce, his love life is completely non-existent. For both, something or someone seems to be missing. And when Anna and William's paths unexpectedly cross in the eclectic neighborhood of Notting Hill, romance is the last thing on their minds...
