Hi-Hello Poem by DR. M. ABDUL MAJID AHMED

Sometimes some lassies message me
Starting with Hi! Hello!
from foreign lands.
After asking this and that
Inquires whether I am married or not
I become perplexed and think:
Is it necessary for setting friendship?
I tell them I am not only married,
But father of two elder kids.
They stop conversation
Ignoring my Hi, Hello
And block me forever.

Once a widow came to contact via WhatsApp
Informed her husband died in a car accident
No matter; I began to talk with her
Enable me to speak and understand
English conversation
Since I am very poor at it.
I am very busy and she also
We could not talk so much.
Different time zone was another factor
When she gets up,
I go to bed.
When I am free after day work
Her full swing duty initiates.
Thus, in one fortnight
Only we talked three days over phone
And shared a little bit via messenger.

Unexpectedly, she becomes silent
I message;
No reply
I call;
No response.
At last, she replied:
Dear,
"Don't mind
Your daughter has forbidden me
To keep any contact with you."
