Highest Pregnant Of….

I fled
and found a quiet shed
where I can be my own, I am really happy
I am able to express all truths without being punished,
all based on honesty without being refurbished
and I have spoken out in complete freedom as it should be, freedom without any fear
I have been happiest for a long time,

the country where I was born,
is now led by a sincere and honest man,
a loving husband and dearest father
he always cares about his folk and family
please, know the kindest and honest leader Ir. Jokowi!

Ir. Joko Widodo (pron. Jocko Weedo: do)also called Jokowi (Jockowee)
he is re-elected and has won again for the next 5 years.

all his corrupt predecessors were never chosen by the population
from the Republic of Indonesia, they chose themselves as leaders.
it was always a shame
all these ex-leaders were corrupt and very, very wrong

no one ever dared talk about it
I never dared to write essays about it in local magazines,
what a loss,
if you only knew how great my urge was to express? !

I have been living abroad for a long time
please, know that I am not living in exile

I did not flee and was also not a persona non-grata
I went abroad to continue my studies in letteratura (literature)
and finished that,
since that time I´m giving lectures to students
and dared to publish my hidden creations
about corrupted leaders and civilizations

as you can see now
I had been constantly highest pregnant of expression
I am content and grateful to God, this is reality no illusion
to be able to give birth to my hidden thoughts
about society´s happiness, welfare and mutual freedom
in this country I may call my peaceful kingdom....

with greatest sadness to my homeland

Very heart-touching poem that is remarkable for its integrity and clarity of thought. I'm glad you have found a freedom in poetry that brings you peace and fulfillment. And of course as a human the political condition of our homeland is our first concern as delineated by you in this very insightful piece.

A powerful, incisive and insightful write. Very straightforward piece. Yes, to be a good citizen of a country, we must praise the good leaders and expose and condemn those who are corrupt. Liked the first stanza. Very touching. I salute you, my friend for this one of a kind write. You are brave. Onto my Poem List.

Sylvia Frances Chan Poet's Pen emits courage and honesty. She can tread on an area that only a few can due to fear of reprisal or punishment A one of a kind character and a great attribute of a writer. To expose the ill doings of a leader requires utmost courage.

In a country where corrupt dictatorship prevails, no one dares to criticize, which causes imprisonment without any trial. Certain most important things must be said, Thank you for your deep understanding.
