I lit a candle
In the sky
Hoping someday
To, tell you why
How very much
I loved you.
I never, really had
A chance,
Life cut apart
Our dreams
Our stance,
And all the happiness
We could have had,
Disintegrated,
Like a cloud.,
Yet, still,
I loved you.
No longer
Knowing where
You are,
I suffer multitudinous
And painful souvenirs,
Of this whole life
Without you.
A life that I
Would not repeat
For it's been
Hell,
So long
And deep
Not sweet,
To love
And then,
Merely survive,
Without you...
Sandra this is love. Well woven with emotions that pierce heart. Thankyou for your wonderful expression to let the other one know how much you love.
A heartfelt poem so beautifully crafted and expressed. Great images. To my Poem List
A beautiful yet so deeply poignant poem. Every strand speaks of loneliness of a love that has been aborted by life's intricacies
A love that has never been consummated will always poke its way out no matter how painful the memories.
Better late than never. Early the better, no matter if the same love is reciprocated or not. Superb poem.
