Hiatus Poem by Ray Hansell

Hiatus

Someone that I know
Is taking a hiatus
They will be very busy
So for now that's their status

Maybe now and than
They will drop a line or two
But right now there are things
That they really must do

Sometimes we all make the mistake
Of setting things aside
Then before we know it
We get very dissatisfied

Because we put off doing
Things we knew we had to do
I think I will say it
We're so much alike through and through

We know we have things to do
But yet we delay
Knowing they can't get done on their own
But yet, we put them off to another day

Than before we know it
We're so far behind
We've run out of days
Luckily we still have time

So, the time is right now
To put your nose to the grindstone
Knowing it can all get done
Only if you're left alone
