Reality in a poetical form is excellent, it reaches and touches more people that way! Rapists need to know that what they do is inhumane and will not be tolerated by anyone ever again. Your poem is a step in the right direction, helping others to find the courage to follow your example. Thank you for sharing and bravery! RoseAnn

Niv, nice to read your poem after a pretty long time.It is a fantastic expression of reality in a crisp form. Let me read once more and add a few lines. But on my first glance ten out of ten.

Word and theme are equally well in highest degree. That Delivered All Flora Fauna Universe? ! are in apogee of highest order. What level poet ascended tagging female part as Universal Deliverer...fantastic concept in coherence with Indian scriptural concept of Genesis [it totally differs with Christian Genesis] Thanks for standing like Gibraltar Rock untiringly against the menace BRAVO please keep it up. Regards 10++ if registers

classic thought of how words been painted to paint a picture of the true realness of the complexities of the world; domestic and gender based abuses and violence against women and children, negligence/ parental incompetence and hopelessness have invaded the face of mother earth. good piece of writing Nivedita.

I just got a chance to go over your poem. Very good write, message delivered. Couldn't help crying especially when you write, 'the spot that delivered fauna and flora of the universe'. You painted a picture that will never be deleted in the minds of the men of this world. You've put on a Good fight and here I repent on behalf of all men. And Niv, are you on facebook. I would also like to meet you there. What do you think? - - Posted thru kindness of AB London

Dear Nivedita I was thrilled to read your message and poems. I have been writing on women’s issues, women empowerment and human rights of the 'ignored and downtrodden'. You have a real fire in your heart, which inspires me. Right now I am writing a book of poetry on the ghastly rape of women (especially the rape of infants and girl children) . This issue has to be highlighted non-stop 24x7 until the mindset of our people changes.... I think you are the right person to help me and collaborate with me in this work. Regards and best of luck in your endeavor! ! - Posted thru kindness of AB london

I find the subject elusive yet also alluring, your style is distinctive and dark, natures femanine qualities are almost always subverted by masculine diversions. I also find this funny although I probably should not. Thank you for sharing

it's a lovely-up-to-date-poem, not saying much like an essay but pointing to the essence smartly, simple yet mpressive thought to present. thanks for sharing

Our people were disciplined before the arrival of the Muslim invaders. The rape and loot of the womenfolk and wealth after a war was introduced in the north of our country by the by the invaders from the Central Asian nations. Our people have inherited that culture from them and still in free India, we see the remnants of that culture.I must have a dictionary beside me while reading your poems because you are the only one using such special diction in poetry. Anyhow, I read your poems at leisure and say my comments frankly. Thanks a lot. ++++ Posted thru kindness of AB London

Your poem is perhaps one of the best literary expressions against atrocities on women which has become rampant on a global scale. It echos the mood of protest and disgust of all the right thinking people. Today because of electronic media we know the news and sympathize with the victims, and join in protest against such brutality. But I feel for those unsung females whose sufferings went unreported or still remain unreported. In fact if you introspect deeply you will find that humanity has not even advanced a step from primitivism. You have earlier written about mass rape of women in wars and in civil wars. Always it is the women who are at the receiving ends. I sadly remember those thousands of women during the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971 who suffered for loving their mother tongue. What is most ironical is the fact that countries like USA, UK, France and China - that constitute world powers - did not even condemn the atrocities for political reasons. I wish you were writing during 1971, atleast there would have been some poetic protest and mourning over the fate of those unfortunate females who suffered at the hands of brutal Pakistani army.
