Hey My Mantis Poor Praying Mantis Poem by Dr PJ Raj Kamal

Hey My Mantis Poor Praying Mantis

Hey, my mantis, poor praying mantis
Is it enough that you always pray
Have you ever seen fire ants?
Yes, I've seen them, marching through the fields
Carrying food to stores
But I do always keep away
Or else I could also be carried away!

Hey, my mantis, poor praying mantis
Is it enough that you always pray
Have you ever seen antlions?
Yes, I've seen them, lurking in their pits
Throwing up sand at times
But I do always keep away
Or else I could also be thrown at anyway!

Hey, my mantis, poor praying mantis
Is it enough that you always pray
Have you ever seen hornets?
Yes I've seen swarms of yellow jackets
All roaming in a rage
But I do always keep away
Or else I could also be bitten anyway!

Hey, my mantis, poor praying mantis
Is it enough that you always pray
Have you ever seen elephants?
Yes, I've seen herds, nibbling in the woods
Blowing noses at times
But I do always keep away
Or else I could also be blown off anyway!
