Hesiod's Night Poem by soren Barrett

Hesiod's Night

And though the night lies with none
She bore sleep, dreams and violent death
Blame, pain and misery, light did shun
Ruthless, avenging deceit in her breath
She blows the cold winds of hate and strife
Doom, the murderous fates
Bringing old age and end of life
She ends all that she creates

Also deadly Nyx bare Nemesis (Retribution) to afflict mortal men, and after her, Apate (Deceit) and Philotes (Friendship) and hateful Geras (Old Age) and hardhearted Eris (Strife) .
