I love this, it's very clever but also deep. I like how you give over yourself finally to this person who you know will take great care of you. It's lovely. HG: -) xx

I hesitated to comment on your work, because, after all, I am your mom, and it may appear I am partial to you...ah, what the heck, I AM! You are so dear to me, but this poem makes me think that you may be all grown up now, Yes? ? ? It is beautiful, a soul-serching piece, and I love it...and you. Scarlett

When did you read my mind? - Mine, and that of so many others, for sure. Otherwise put; this is something so many will relate to, subject-wise. In respect of the flow and the penning generally, it is absolutely superb. I want more. t x

One tiny observation, should the word 'now' in the last line in this stanza be 'nor'? She looks inside herself As he tells her, 'I will never control you, ' And thinks to herself, 'Now I will let you.'

I love the way you manage to play two parts at once: the observer and the observed, the subject and the object. It shows that you have a wonderful analytical nature, combined with an artistic talent. Welcome to PH! Warmly, Julia

'She's Got A Way' or several ways about her. 'She's Always A Woman' and allow me to 'Tell Her About It.' But 'Don't Ask Me Why' because for 'The Longest Time, ' I had been in a 'New York State Of Mind, ' and when all is said and done, 'You May Be Right.' Okay, I'm running out of Mr. Joel's song titles, so whistle gal, you ain't whistling Dixie with this introspective rendition. 'To thine own self be true.' to quote another William of much greater magnitude. I welcome you to the world of PoemHunter, such as it is; however, 'It's Still Rock And Roll To Me.' Good luck in all your future writing endeavours. Respectfully, Greg XXO
