Here's To You Dad Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Here's To You Dad

Rating: 3.0

Those stories of old
Interpreted from a heart
Of solid gold.
I so wish i could hear you again
My father,
My life,
When you were here,
Everything seemed right.
My best friend,
Smiling as you always did,
Even at the end.
And when the angels took you,
To that faraway place,
They had gained the best there was,
For no one can replace,
The finest soul there ever lived,
For in my eyes you were,
A loving Dad,
A wonderful friend,
The greatest that's for sure.

You may think your funny with your little quirky comments Bri, but I don't! My sentiment for my deceased parents will never be over the top! Stick your stars where the sun don't shine: (

The sentiment expressed towards a father here seems 'over the top' AKA (also known as) 'adjective Bold; beyond normal, expected, or reasonable limits; excessive; outrageous.'. BUT someone's dad/father had/has to be 'the best'....I GUESS. MY dad was 'adequate' and I'm grateful for THAT!
