Another very beautiful poem Valerie. What exactly you are describing here I'm not sure. The moments before you drift off to sleep, some kind of paranormal levitation, a swan song? Whatever it is it makes wonderful reading. It's the best poem I've read for a long while.

Life does give us sometimes these mysterious moments of undemanded ecstasy, of dreamlike pleasure beyond all logic. They are rare, but they are the best. I think that in this lovely poem it is that that you so beautifully expressed and also made the reader feel. Only a very sensitive poet can do this.
