Kevin====You are so sensitive to the writings of others, sensitive and erudite and passionate.... you encourage me to go deeper every time you read and comment on my poetry... thank you for never letting me stall out! ! ! !
Rereading this work again, and it swells with so many feelings within me, but most specifically mortality, you get older and the sea becomes larger as the shore becomes further. Weirdly, hearing that silly Alexa voice reciting it doesn't detract from it, but adds to melancholy. Like I said we might as well enjoy the sea before the undiscovered country beckons. One of your finest works, which is saying something because there ALL fine works! .
My dear friend, Kevin====You are so sensitive to the writings of others, sensitive and erudite and passionate.... you encourage me to go deeper every time you read and comment on my poetry... thank you for never letting me stall out! ! ! !

Mahtab, I thought I replied to your comments already but there are no sign of them anywhere. I know I complimented your poetic take on my poem. You did a good job on it! ! ! ! I'm glad you liked my poem so much it inspired you! ! !
Here I go riding the rhythm of that deep sea Here I go sailing away to another shore......beautifully written the life has to go to another shore...
Here I am and the boat on the life's river rowing lonely with the flowing and blowing time venomous flute's sound from the every corner of clouds yet have to go, go to far endless the life, has no stoppage the journey and here I go............
Oh, dear, I thought I replied to your comments already but there are no sign of them anywhere. I know I complimented your poetic take on my poem. You did a good job on it! ! ! ! I'm glad you liked my poem so much it inspired you! ! !
Robert! ! ! , I think this being cooped up is finally making me grumpy! I don't want change, I want things that work... like they used to... next thing I know I'll be hollering about wanting to go back to 8-track tapes! But doggone it, if the powers to be think this format better, the least they could do would be to get it to actually work! ! !
Muhammad Ali....Life is a sail. Yes it is good to " see" you again! ! ! Yes, life can be like sailing sometimes- -sometimes peaceful, sometimes boring, sometimes too exciting for words. Thank you for reading and commenting!
Valsa! ! As usual you understand well the poems you read. It is a gift that you have probably from writing such weighty poems as you write. Thank you for reading my efforts!
Robert! ! ! Then I am not alone on this final voyage and that is always the case whether we sail along with our Lord our God or we choose to sail with a companion or two for part of the journey or for just a while.
Life is a sail. Yes it is better inside a little boat, above the water. or it is drowning and drowning and drowning. Nice poem. when we go, we leave. whether we go or we not... we are leaving. yes
Hey Edward- -there is loneliness and there is loneliness, isn't there?
We all like to cling on to the safe shore where we are anchored. We don't want to leave our comfort zone and plunge in to the unknown, fearing there would be dangers lurking! But life is a journey and we have to keep moving, however perilous it be. There is a another shore waiting for us....! As we come closer to the shore, we understand that journey has not been as difficult as we had imagined. The seafaring through life and our sailing into death are metaphorically portrayed!
Loneliness! ! ! Sailing along alone; Waves of the ocean like, The Problems of love and life. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Kevin. I am so glad to hear you find this poem both meditative and haunting- those are powerful words. Thank you for looking deep inside the poems you read. And it gives me great encouragement that my poems mean much to you- -that is huge incentive to do better, go deeper. You are such a good friend to all of us here at PH- it would be a huge loss to all of us if YOU were to disappear. So do not disappear or we will come find you! ! !
Thank you very much, Bernard, for those sparkly-eyed 10s! ! ! ! ! ! !
This poem is both meditative and and haunting, the former because it slightly eases my mind on the subject of that undiscovered country, yet it also haunts me because I am now afraid this reads like a last will and testament. I've already lost a ph friend, some just never post again and disappear, but I would hate to loose you Susan your works mean much to me. As for the subject its an aft metaphor as I get older I see things slipping slowly and fast. Lets just enjoy the sea.
A well penned composition. Truly wonderful....10+++++++
Hahahahahahahaha- -dang, I was a busy little critter then! ! ! ! ! Thank you, Mj, for reading my stuff so consistently and coming back for more! ! ! Thank you for faving this and giving it a perfect 10! ! ! ! ! ! !
To Whom It Definitely Concerns: : : You ask me over and over to read your poetry but all I ever seem to bump into are poems about and it is my right to choose not to read stuff like that. especially over and over and over again. So if you ever write something about another topic let me know the title. Otherwise I will consider any other request to be sexual harrassment
An insightful piece of poetry! Each stanza stands alone dear poetess. Top marks for this thoughtful write.
