Here I am awake again
To start another day
I wonder if the sunshine
Is really here to stay

It's seems that my life lately
Has been cloudy and grey
Nothing seems to go right
As I struggle through the day

The nights go on forever
I know every crack in my ceiling
I'm just trying to find a way
To chase away this empty feeling

Most people say it's just me
In time it will all p[ass
I wish I could believe them
But all I do is laugh

It's been like this for far too long
That I really expect nothing more
So, I'll keep on trying
To find the happiness I'm looking for
