Her Story Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Her Story

The pages are all torn
the words are all smeared.
I'm reading the nightmares
of everything she feared.

Each chapter leaves me breathless
as I read between the lines.
She kept telling people
that everything was fine.

No one could see the pain
that was wrote in ink.
A little bit of her slipped away
every time she blinked.

Now the tale of a broken heart
should take no one by surprise
These pages are her story
all filled up with lies.
