Her Shame Poem by D.S. Bell

Her Shame

Two feelings had travelled a long way,
Two thoughts had made shelter for stay,
Four hours had past the night sky,
For her had the worries dropped by,
To make fray her lips as they quiver,
And drown her windows in river,
As she so seldom remains;
Pulled down to a watery grave,
And, swallowed up in her own self blame.
