Her Bitterness Poem by Phil Soar

Her Bitterness

The bitterness travelled beside her
No matter the distance she drove
And the love she once knew, was no longer in view
And the hurt and the lying don't lie

As she sped past the memories around her
No longer she smiled but just cried
Where the crossroads and highways turned biblical
She would drive and recover her pride

And when all the roads turned so dusty
That she couldn't see comfort in view
It was then she aspired, to no longer feel tired
And map out a journey that's new
