Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown Poem by Clyde UrMom

Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown

Rating: 5.0

In a realm of sorrow, where shadows lay,
Three brothers stood, their destinies astray.
The eldest, a prince, burdened with a crown,
Thrust into a kingdom at youth's fragile dawn.

Too young for the weight, his soul gripped with fear,
Forced to rule, though his heart shed a tear.
A kingdom's affairs, a kingdom's demands,
His childhood stolen by fate's merciless hands.

The middle child, a beacon of solace and light,
A mentor to the youngest, a guide through the night.
He nurtured with love, compassion untold,
Yet his own heart carried burdens untold.

The youngest brother, brave and resolute,
Marched to the front lines, a war to dispute.
With valor and courage, he faced the foe,
But fate's cruel strike delivered a devastating blow.

On blood-soaked fields, his life met its end,
Leaving the family broken, hearts cannot mend.
The eldest, now burdened by grief and despair,
Witnessed his kingdom's glory tarnished with despair.

The middle child, shattered by sorrow's vice,
Found no solace, no refuge, no paradise.
Consumed by darkness, his spirit gave way,
As the weight of existence grew heavier each day.

Now the eldest brother, a king without cheer,
Haunted by loss, drowning in a sea of fear.
His kingdom once vibrant, now veiled in gray,
As he wandered alone, his soul in disarray.

In a realm of shattered dreams and lost ties,
Their voices silenced, their pain in disguise.
A tale of tragedy, etched in tears and strife,
Where love turned to ashes, extinguishing life.
