Dear Whole World and Universe,
With a heavy Heart
I lay this down
Mixing this art
Of poem and frown
For the happenings of this world
In a ball I am emotionally curled
By heart and pain with spirit drained
My soul reaching out in comfort
Crying out to those in pain
Grieving
For family and friends
Lost in the flames
Of all fires
Especially now, the CampFire
My being cannot contain
Or barely even fathom
The extent of neighbor's pain
Of their families and friends
That in stillness remain
Just thinking of the horrific ways
In which their lives did end
Chills my spine...
Bless the animals
Along with mankind
In tears our hearts do rend
Questions rise my twisted insides
Asking why this happened?
Why on Earth, this fire burned
That path of it's destruction?
(Seems to be like a Sodom and Gomorrah scene,
yet Promises told seems He spoke against such
desecration...guess it's time to freshen up my
understanding of the Bible)
So why, I ask, are we grieving today
For innocent lives
That have left us?
With an aching heavy heart, helplessness
Weeping sadness and tremendous Prayer
I Pray out
Lifting hands up
...to give to You!
Godspeed
You've got the whole world and Universe in Your Hands...
...please send Your loving comfort Godspeed!
In Jesus Name
Amen!
