Heartbreak Poem by Dylan Dutrow

You were all I ever wanted.
You were the best I ever had.
Now you’re gone and I’m left feeling so so sad.
The fact that you have left to me just doesn’t feel right.
I’m glad you cannot see the tears I cry for you tonight.
I’ve felt pain before but nothing quite like this.
It breaks my heart to know I will never again feel your kiss.
Every moment with you felt so good and perfected.
The pain I feel now could have never been expected.
I feel no anger since you filled my heart with happiness.
I only feel pain since that’s been replaced by emptiness.
I hope you work things out and maybe one day you’ll return.
Because right now holding you again is my only concern.
I know it’s probably just a dream and I’ll admit this truthfully.
You’ll probably go on and find somebody better than me.
You made me happier then I ever have been.
But no matter how hard I try I never ever seem to win.
