Heart Of Light Poem by Annalee Somerville

Heart Of Light

In the hush between the branches,
the sun speaks not in words, but in golden thunder.
A heart of fire, piercing shadow and silence,
spilling truth through the ribs of trees.
It doesn't ask permission to shine,
it just does blazing like a soul remembering who it is.
