Healing Poetry
Every poet has their critic,
Like every rose has its thorn.
Every cut can be healed,
Through poetry we do adorn.
Well said Shaun...perfect simile to describe the critics out there. Many of whom cannot compose anything of merit themselves, so they savagely attack the work of others...mmm...I think we all KNOW who they are. It's definitely a truly scrumptious ten from me!
The best poetry is healing; you are right. Possibly I would have omitted ' every rose has its thorn', as (dare I say it?) a cliche. The rest of the poem is fine.
