Your lovely poem on this great man prompted me to read up on him. Although I have heard about him, I knew little of his teachings. So glad you shared this beautiful poem with me. Thank you.

A lovely tribute about Confucius, a Chinese teacher, politician, and philosopher. After reading this great mans biography, I learned that he was a great humanist and one of the greatest teachers in Chinese history. He had taught the primary task of the ruler was to achieve the welfare (well-being) and happiness of the people of his state. The ruler first had to set a moral (good character) example by his own conduct. This example would in turn influence the people's behavior. I am so glad I read your lovely poem and learned about this amazing person.

To know that this small and a very humble poem could inspire you to study more about this eminent historical personality, is a great honor to me. Fairly detailed comments subscribed by you has given credence to what I feel and have written about Confucius. Thank you very much indeed, Simone.

When values are on the decline, a redeemer comes from somewhere....! Through out History, we can see this! Such beacons of light save the world from dipping into darkness! A great tribute to the great Chinese philosopher and writer who taught the common men the practical moral values!

Thank you so much, Valsa ji, for making a value addition on what I have written about that great master- Confucius. Your comments nicely interpret the circumstances which were responsible for the rise of such teachers and philosophers with extraordinary moral strength and conviction to rid their country and countrymen of all kinds of evils and afflictions.

This is wonderful tribute poem well composed. A warrior of pure reason and a champion of ancient values has given confidence and power. Values in society build humanity. Values develop beauty of humanity. A true teacher guides others with nice values and teachings.10

this has such fine flow, which makes for easy reading. i'll take your word for what you are saying. but how did Mao and his clique get power for so long? to MyPoemList. bri :)

You will agree that Confucius vehemently opposed the dangerous tendency of decentralization of political power into the hands powerful vassals (landlords) and was clearly in favor of upholding the supreme authority of the Emperor. He ceaselessly worked on this objective along with his code of ethics based on human values, human dignity and humanity. If we can ignore the code of ethics introduced by Confucius, this answers your query about Chairman Mao's accession to power in the People's Republic of China and remaining at the helm for so long. Thanks for your positive comments, Dear Bri Edwards.
