He Tasted Death Poem by Gary James Smith

He Tasted Death

Rating: 5.0

He Tasted Death

He tasted death for every man
He drank sin's bitter cup
So that one day He could say
Come saved sinner...sup!
At the marriage supper of the Lamb
Our reservation is assured
When we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ
Our attendance there was procured

What a table feast of joy
To dine with Jesus Christ
To taste for real the fruits of Heaven
The fruits of His Sacrifice
Beyond our mind of comprehension
Far above our thoughts and ways
Just to be seated at that table
Emits a song of praise!

He tasted my death Hallelujah
And removed sins condemnation
When I repented of my sin
I found His so great Salvation
How glorious that faith transaction
From unbelief to belief
Now with God in partnership
I was guaranteed from sin... relief!

Taste and see that the Lord is good
Drink from His cup of Salvation
You will never be the same again
And will be endued from High to praise Him
Don't let sin take you down
The path that leads to destruction
But look and live...my brother live!
For Christ is our Resurrection!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
