Tragic situation of weak institutions, I am ashamed to hear police is not registering such a cruelty. I hope things change for the better, for all.

But, the so called prime minister of India dare not open his mouth or move a finger against him… Our fate! But, as Winston Churchill said, we get the government we deserve. We can not complain

Hi dear poet, Welcome to PoemHunter. And welcome to my world of poetry. Thank you for your noteworthy words. But, I understand that these people commit such cruelties in the name of god! So, I am bound to ask, dear poet, "which god are you talking about? "

Hi Nabakishore, I have read time and again, about Courts in India taking cognisance of Media reports and initiating actions suo motu. And as you said, I too presume that the law provides for such actions by the courts. But, why not in this case?

Individuals are extremely fearful as no one has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in this matter. Consider the fact that there are numerous avenues to pursue this case, but none, including the opposition, are willing to do so.

I am not familiar with legal terms. Can you tell me what this means in legal terms? Does it propose/suggest a remedy for refusing to implement the law?

2) …. the law provides for such actions by the courts. But, why not in this case? And why not, the speaker of the Lok Sabha? And the President of the Country, who is the ultimate custodian of all laws, including the Constitution?

3) We can understand why the ruling party favours the murderer-rapist. You can read ‘why' in the ensuing parts of this series. And we know, all the law-enforcement agencies are ‘Caged Birds' and grossly corrupt under the present government. But Courts?

4) Of course, sorry to say that, the present incumbent President is also a caged bird…. We expect nothing from any of the Constitutional institutions. The people need to wake up now. As did the farmers…

But, who cares?

More than twenty million people watched the IPL Final on Monday night. However, none of them came forward to show their support for the wrestlers/fighters. Have we become too apathetic? There are many questions to contemplate.

You said it, dear poet. The Indian psyche is such that they tend to overlook inconvenient issues.

Gross apathy is the mark of the day!

I can see the bubbling arrogance in every statement made by the person, how can a society live under the treat of ED, CBI and other investigation agencies? Is it like nobody is clean? Are we waiting for Bhagat Singh or Subhash Chandra Bose?

You have touched the crux of the issue, sir. I do share your anxiety.

When those people who were bestowed with power to protect ceases to do what they sworn into, then the country is in chaos. The government must uphold the law at all costs otherwise there will be.moral degradation which leads to the collapse of government.

Pride infatuates us with our temporary possessions and sends us off on a dangerous ego trip, being propelled by the imagination that we are superior to others.

And, definitely we should never harm others….

Poetic Sky 01 June 2023

Pride originates in the misconception that we permanently own the things that we only temporarily possess: talents and abilities, positions and possessions.

You said the very truth of life, dear poet

So very true, dear poet. "Jagan midthya" is what our scriptures speak. The temporary nature of all our possessions other than knowledge need to be understood by everyone….

Arrogance and power are the two enemies that takes away your wisdom. Those who are at the helm thinks they are there forever but no, Bhagavad Gita Chapter 16 Verse 4 dambho darpo 'bhimānaśh cha krodhaḥ pāruṣhyam eva cha ajñānaṁ chābhijātasya pārtha sampadam āsurīm

Rightly said, dear poet. What Krishna said (or the poets of the yore wrote) is the wisdom of ages. Lust and pride (karma and dhambha) are the two vices we need to stay away from. Thank you
