The Protector - 2
'I have committed a murder in the past.
Let people say what they want…
I did commit a murder'
boasts the rapist, repeatedly.
He openly declares
who the victim was
and who the witnesses are
with place, date and time, precise.
Yet police take no action
for, a bunch of criminals
though they wield powers
can do no better.
If there is no punishment
for a cold-blooded murder
what action do you speak of
for rape of a few, even if minors?
When the government policy is
‘protect the rapist, the murderer'
the unfortunate nation holds
her head down in shame.
Tragic situation of weak institutions, I am ashamed to hear police is not registering such a cruelty. I hope things change for the better, for all.
But, the so called prime minister of India dare not open his mouth or move a finger against him… Our fate! But, as Winston Churchill said, we get the government we deserve. We can not complain
They may move Scot free with all protection by the Govt. but who will save them from GOD?
Hi dear poet, Welcome to PoemHunter. And welcome to my world of poetry. Thank you for your noteworthy words. But, I understand that these people commit such cruelties in the name of god! So, I am bound to ask, dear poet, "which god are you talking about? "
