p1The key to this poem is in the title, 'He Made This Screen' and the choice of materials, 'not of silver nor of coral, but of weatherbeaten laurel', suggesting a choice of weather realistic nature scenes for the screen which inspire in praiseworthy beauty.
I wrote the poems 'A Secret Carved Into: He Made This Screen', 'Decoding Carved Screen: Seen And Unseen' et cetera, inspired by the poem 'He Made This Screen', by the poet Marianne Moore and dedicated to Marianne Moore.

p2The tapestry created extends in vision intermixing reality in beautiful nature scenes, the sea flora and fauna with with implied fantasy imagination 'a dragon circling space -', creating a playful image artistic composition.
