Really good poem, but you shouldn't feel the need to explain. Let the poem stand on it's own (it's good) and everyone can take what they want from it. If they don't like it, or understand it, that's their problem. S
It's good you write about your feelings now. And the poem makes it easy for the reader to empathise.

the boy went into sorrow, i see this well, , , for me i had to take care of my mom, who got cancer, or the cancer got her, its very hard to see peaple you love become very ill, , , , , , , , still, there is hope, , , , , , , , , , , ,
Wow. I sorta know what that feels like. I like this poem. It describes a man's pain when he loses something precious to him.
Wow. My dad died when i was 9 and it was super hard on me and my family. I spent my life tryin to save him from himself. He died of liver cancer. And even when i was younger i knew that he would die because of his drinking so i used to try and hide the beer.
