well.....................uh, maybe. but perhaps this is just a joke/exercise in rhyming? ? ? and nice rhyming btw. perhaps it is not about Christ as others have surmised. the Easter Bunny? Santa? Goliath? Lincoln? Smokey the Bear [is he still alive? ]? whoever it is/was that did die, that he had a reason.....is a lie. i think he died simply from old age, so turn your poetry book to a new page.... and write about THAT! bri :)

As an atheist I don't believe in the existence of Christ - at least in a 'son of God' manner. But, if he really died, he probably died mostly to leave a world where people continued to twist his words to suit their means for centuries.. Thanks for sharing Brian..

So you are talking about Christ. I see this poem as highlighting the complexity of religion and the difficulty or challenge of faith in a world that contains the absurd, the heartbreaking, and the downright mundane. BTW...I am extremely thankful for artificial knees...I made need them someday. ;) TFS.
